AN AFTERTHOUGHT ON THE AFTERMATH……….of computer era

With technology traveling so fast ahead of us, everyone is in a mad rush to establish themselves or familiarize themselves with it and to it….when we take a break for a moment and think, we might realise our life has become an “App” (or APP / application as used in information technology era) and we are always in the process of updating it rather than living it on our own terms of comfort & preferences.

To elucidate further I would rather say, had many things been true & just to their literal names…lol…, perhaps, we would have been soooooooooooooooooo comfortable and with a lot of mental peace supposedly….(my apologies to all those born after late eighties or from nineties as they may not find this quite relevant)

See below those top 10, I am talking about….

Probably, our life would have been happier had…….

1) “APPLE”,  & “BLACKBERRY” were just fruits….while “HP” meant only Himachal Pradesh

2) “LAPTOP” meant the comfort of lap’s top of, mom or dad or wife or girlfriend or sister etc

3) “IT” was only Income tax or word “it” in caps

4) “WORD” was another word, “EXCEL” meant excelling in what you do, “POWERPOINT” was two different words as power & point, “FLASH” was just flashing something and “APPLICATIONS” were just leave application, bank account application or ration card application etc

5) “RAM” was only Hindu god, “BOOT” was shoe on your leg and “SAVE” was to save money.

6) “VIRUS” & “BUG” were just biological factors or micro organisms reminded to us of their being on those odd visits to doctors.

7) “TABLETS” were just those white circular pills prescribed by doctors as medication

8) “CHIPS” were something we munched for snacks during tea time

9) “BLUETOOTH” was some discolouration of teeth due to poor dental hygiene

10) Finally “COMPUTER”, “HARDWARE” & “SOFTWARE” were never heard of….
