Why do you think that Narendra Modi should be voted for PM or why should he not be voted?                                                                                   

Author’s view:

In a country like ours, where we have seen mismanagement, arrogance of powerful and unprecedented levels of corruption galore right from the time we became independent, we are still a confused & reluctant lot trying to retreat into a shell, closing our eyes rather than stepping out & act against any wrong / wrong doing committed by anyone.

From the time we were independent, we forgot that we are inter-dependent (due to diversity in various forms & means) but we shrunk our mindset to be inner-dependent (we developed the divisive mindset of my place, my religion, my caste, my region, my community etc etc). But we had never matured enough as responsible citizens to think “MY COUNTRY” from Kashmir to Kanyakumari or from Alang to Arunachal……

We have seen secularism assuming a different meaning altogether….In Indian context secularism means “appeasing the minority at any cost and depriving majority of even having a genuine say”…..We never show our steely resolve in eliminating terrorists or bringing the corrupt netas or government officials to book but we are resolved to eliminate women in the name of honour, eliminate honesty for greed, eliminate ethics for achieving personal milestones….sadly though..

What Modi has done or not done is difficult to conclude be it about riots or be it on development but what can be easily understood in a common man’s view or wisdom is:

The Godhra train burning was a clearly planned, well orchestrated attack on Kar Sevaks by some rogue muslim group for which muslim community is not responsible but that particular attack with vendetta & hatred triggered the riots and once two communities are madly involved in rioting there is no need of some Modi to come and say or instigate a mob…. Secondly, amongst those who lost their lives, 30% were hindus and rest were muslims in a state having just 6% muslim population where one can understand fanatics from both communities were actively involved in the criminal act. Thirdly, why will Modi delay or instruct the administration to openly go slow when he knows that casualties are from both sides and also the police forces have representatives from all communities as well as officers who are sincere and upright. So to blame the entire police force is another reckless, baseless allegation.

Nitish Kumar who was the Railway Minister then, had actually ordered an independent probe by railways which clearly unearthed the angle of criminal conspiracy by some muslim groups baying for the blood of Kar Sevaks and the entire carnage was a meticulously planned & executed act of chilling hatred and vengeance. Unfortunately or rather shamelessly, the very same Nitish Kumar feels Modi is communal now….One can easily understand the intentions & motives of him. He has become so self centred that he forgot it was NaMo & BJP that helped him become what he is now.

The people of India also have a very short memory that they forget it is only for the Armed forces, Paramilitary & RSS sevaks who selflessly rescue & support people in times of social, natural and man made disasters or calamities….People are more interested in remembering their politicians, political parties, cine actors, cricket players, religious groups, caste groups but none from there come to the forefront when disaster strikes…one can understand who actually stands by common man.

Above all, when Laloo became Railway Minister later, he ordered an eyewash inquiry that submitted a report within a week stating that it was only a fire accident that caused the Godhra incident, had actually triggered more hatred in the minds of Hindus….while the report was never taken seriously by anyone including courts, no one either bothered to question the integrity and callousness of Laloo that resulted in creating further divide between the communities, while also completely distorting the truth in such a sensitive incident that sparked nationwide outrage from both communities.

What Narendra Modi did post Godhra for about 10 years or more is to ensure an impeccable law & order situation, unmatched growth indices on various factors of development (his figures may be inflated or not, but the truth that he has taken the state on to a development path & agenda is undeniable). Beyond all, no one ever complained of discrimination on the basis of caste or community till date and he has allowed a free, fair, equal platform for everyone to foray in their respective fields.

Whenever he addresses a public forum he is reeling out facts & figures which could never be openly contested or proven as wrong by any of his opposition forces and attention mongers or diversion seekers like Dig Vijay Singh who have been proved time and again as no less than crooks or agents of divisive politics who riddle & ridicule essence of India left, right and centre….

To all my muslim and minority friends…I assure you if anytime during his career or lifespan if NaMo tries to alienate or exclude any community from mainstream development for any reason, I think this very same billion voices will stand behind you…hence don’t fall prey to the age old divisive tactic of congress of sponsoring communal bias or promise of sops to your community but wake up and stand together as one, as people of India. More than 99% of terrorist attacks in this country are perpetrated by some misguided muslim fundamental but we have never questioned the integrity of common muslim living here. Security forces sometimes go overboard because they dont have choices as unfortunately some folks from your religion get lured into the sinful territory of terrorists who claim themselves to be true muslims and saviours or guardians of Muslim interests but they are worse than wild  animals with no religion in real.

I believe we must learn to forget and leave behind all those riots, bomb blasts and communal hatred concepts now and start thinking about the future….we must realise this is not what we are going to impart to our children and spoil their minds so that they nurture the same hatred and disturbance towards each other…..we should evolve within ourselves with a resolve to make politicians and divisive players know that by bringing Gujarat riots again and again they are the ones playing the communal card and not allowing wounds to heal. What we want now is to know what kind of plans they have to prevent riots, bomb blasts from happening in future and what steps are they taking for upbringing of ground level acceptance, cooperation & tolerance of each others religions within common public domain.

I support NaMo for PM……not because I am a Hindu fanatic or I want Ram temple…but I know he is not against muslims or anyone but he is against non-development, he is against non-progress of our country despite having a lots in resources. And in almost 70 years of our span post independence, he is one rare politician who is having a vision and road map for action, his speeches & performance results speak volumes of his ability to understand the complexities of our system and deliver accordingly. He probably has that fire in his belly and that real patriotic fervour, therefore, it is time we lent our support not for the sake of NaMo but for the namo namaha (resurgent progression) of our country.

Many many issues can be written for miles & miles…I also know we are not left with much of a choice when it comes to our political parties with clean record but atleast we can give Narendra Modi a try, for there is some hope left in billion hearts that we can still make it big. We know he single-handedly cant change things overnight or even in one full tenure but what he will atleast do is…. start a trend from where people can take a cue, he might set an example that people may try to emulate, he might create an elevated aperture of standing that people cannot bring down henceforth and can only take further up….because we know what TN Seshan did to Election Commission which was not known much to people before, we know what Vinod Rai did to CAG which was not even heard of by almost 98% of the population before….perhaps Narendra Modi could do something of that sort if made Prime Minister and can resurrect the road towards development as well as future growth for our great country called India or Bharat or Hindusthan…whatsoever……Jai Hind…!!
